COMMUNITY MEETING TO REAFFIRM FREEPORT'S VALUES

January 31, 2017

Letter from State Representative Sara Gideon:

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Yesterday, fliers were distributed in Freeport (and other communities) around Maine. These fliers represent and perpetuate both divisiveness and hate and they have no place in our town. In response, we will come together as a community tonight to make our voices heard and to clearly articulate our values and our respect for each other as human beings. Our voices, raised together as one strong voice, will deliver the message that we reject hate and embrace each other.

Please join us tonight for a peaceful celebration of who we are. This is not a political rally, but an affirmation of our values. We ask that people understand that many children will be present, that we will be focused on a positive message of Freeport values, inclusivity and the rejection of the KKK and it's mission and message.

Community Meeting To Reaffirm Freeport's Values
Tonight at 7 p.m.
Freeport Community Center at 53 Depot Street

Best,

Sara Gideon
