EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: FREEPORT COMMUNITY LIBRARY FULL-TIME CHILDREN'S ROOM CIRCULATION CLERK

Freeport Community Library, located in Freeport, Maine, is currently accepting applications for a full-time Children's Room Circulation Clerk.

The successful candidate must have experience working with the public, especially children; exceptional customer service skills; the ability to work in an environment that can be energetic and lively; an outgoing personality; and computer and internet proficiency. College degree or equivalent experience is desired.

The Children's Room Circulation Clerk performs a variety of circulation tasks related to the operation of the library under the supervision of the Children's Librarian and the Library Director. Typical duties include: staffing the circulation desk, leading Story Time, shelving, pulling holds, providing Reader's Advisory, and assisting patrons locate library materials.
The vacancy is for a 38 hour/week position. The work schedule will include evening and Saturday hours. Job description posted at right.
