Circulation Clerk

Freeport Community Library is currently accepting applications for a part-time Circulation Clerk to work at the adult and children’s circulation desks.

The successful candidate must have experience working with the public; exceptional customer service skills; the ability to work in an environment that can be energetic and lively; an outgoing personality; and computer and internet proficiency. Prior library experience is a plus. College degree or equivalent experience is desired.
Responsibilities will include: serving patrons in person and by phone; performing circulation desk duties as outlined by supervisor; checking materials in and out; processing holds and incoming/outgoing interlibrary loans; performing opening and closing procedures; and shelving materials accurately.

The vacancy is for a 20 hour/week position. The current hours for this position are Monday & Wednesday 4:00-8pm, Friday 10-5pm, and Saturday 9:30am-2:30pm. The starting rate for this position is $12.00/hour.
